VIDEO - Introduction by Maestro Lacombe: OSTR - The Universe of Rachmaninoff

For the first time in the history of the Orchestre symphonique de Trois-Rivières, Maestro Lacombe offers a concert dedicated to one of the last of the the great romantics, Sergei Rachmaninoff, on Saturday, October 20, 2012.  The extraordinary Ukrainian pianist, Serhiy Salov, interprets a mainstay of piano repertoire, the famous “Piano Concerto No. 3,” an overwhelming masterpiece of stunning virtuosity. The music will reach heights of intensity in the “Second Symphony” by the Russian composer with unforgettable melodies and awe inspiring orchestration.
