Jacques Lacombe reinvited to open the 75th Season of the Tanglewood Music Festival with the Boston Symphony Orchestra
Jacques Lacombe has been reinvited by the Boston Symphony Orchestra to conduct the opening concert of the 75th season at the Tanglewood Music Festival on Friday, July 3, 2015.
This concert will mark the United State’s Independence Day and will bring together works of American composers John Harbison, George Gershwin, Aaron Copland and Duke Ellington, which will be performed by the renowned pianist Kirill Gerstein and narrated by famed Jessye Norman.
Last summer, Jacques Lacombe made his debut at the Tanglewood Music Festival, one of the most well-known in the world and summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Maestro lacombe states, “I am very excited and look forward celebrating this this important anniversary and to making music with this amazing organization again.”
